Like we 've always said, if you can only have one bike, you might as well end it all right now. Or was it, if you could only have one bike, make it a Hakkal¸gi? If you're a cross racer, or spend time on the road and maybe go off road at times, or maybe combine all three on one ride, you've come to the right place. We're a little hesitant to call it a cyclocross frame, because it can do so much more. You can race the hell out of it, but most "Lugi Lovers" out there only occasionally race cross, they're just hopelessly seduced by the versatility that the Hakkalçgi offers.
For 2001, we've built it with front-end geometry to accept a longer, stronger fork, giving you better clearance for bigger tires, more mud or fenders. The front and rear cantilever or V-brake mounts also help provide mud, fender and tweaked wheel clearance. Venturing off-road on this puppy is a cinch; and lovin' it on the road is a natural. Our steel Hakkal¸gi fork or one of many excellent carbon cross forks will provide extra strength for those table tops you 'll be tempted to try.
Oops! We probably won't be able to get that last line by the lawyers, so how about . . . provide extra strength to get you over the occasional water bar. In any case, go love your Lugi as hard as you can. It will love you right back.
